This gorgeous pecky cherry mirror is bound by inlayed butterflies and blessed with it’s unique pockets and striations. Pecky wood develops when the polyporus amarus fungus infects a tree, once the tree is cut down the fungus can no longer survive. It’s fairly rare and a true delight for a craftsman to work with.
